November 4, 2011 – Day 95 of Morgan’s stalking – You must wait for the alibi to fully develop!

Morgan wonders who is fooling who here

Morgan wakes up in the morning and we talk about her “bubble” from the night before.  The bubble means she hit the text button on her phone and her phone sent me a bubble so I would know the exact time she heard the noise for my timeline and for the sheriff’s – I always thought it looked like most of these things happened at certain times of the night – with the occassional change of showing up in the yard dressed in black, following her in a car, and showing up on our front porch to punch in our code dressed in a hoodie at 4:30 am.  A rock hit her window at 10:57 pm last night, according to the bubble.  This morning at 5:10 am the alarm goes off.  It was directly coupled with a video taken at that same time.  A figure is caught on video running across Rhonda’s driveway (our next door neighbor on Morgan’s side of the house.  The sheriffs department had the only copy because of a computer crash, and I wish I had not given up the only copy.  A computer expert could not get the copy back, but Steve assures me he will be able to go back through the computer backup files and get another copy.  I warned him you will not be understanding if he fails.

Morgan tells us that Keenan posted a 554 # and keeps sending FB messages back to her friend, and threatening him, and telling him to back off.  Keenan is very vociferous about where the blame for the stalking belongs evidently.  He is saying that the stalking was over 5 months ago.  This of course is not true, because it started three months ago, that we know of.  But then after reading stalking advice it could have started over five months ago, and he is right on the money about timing, but he is not right that it ended…it is still ongoing.  We only know when we think it started.  Only I would have loved to have been able to ask him how he knew all this.  He is also saying the “cops” excluded him because he works all night, every night, and he is in Texas right now. (What he said about the ‘cops’ excluding him is absolutely false…as you can read on every post, since the beginning in August 2011 – his work hours, taken from the police reports, show the time of the stalking incidents compared to his work hours, showing he was not at work at those times…criminals lie and that should not be a shock to anyone).

OK, fact check, yes we have heard he is gone this week, from two different sources, and the detectives are at present telling us they are 100% sure he is the stalker and Morgan knows Keenan is the stalker.  We are troubled by the sheriffs believing it is only Keenan,  because Steve strongly believes that there are at least three different stalkers/terrorizers/bullies.  He really wishes he knew who they all were, but he is only willing to say at this time that Keenan is one of them.

According to Morgan, Keenan has also recently told her friend that at the time of the stalking he was dating Brooke Harris.  A private investigator that was volunteering his time had assured us the Keenan and Brooke had never really stopped dating in his best estimation – I guess it was just convenient for him to move out at that time since the sheriffs had been coming by her house to interview him.  He had avoided them up till then and I guess it made sense to make up an excuse, like they ‘broke up’ so when he moved out suddenly no one would be any wiser…  That very same investigator sat Steve and I in the back seat of his SUV, a while back, and said OK, I will now take you to the back door of City Market in El Jebel, where our man in question (Keenan) works – and then he did.  After arriving he picked up his cell phone and mockingly said “Hey Jeff, out back having a puff, let me back in.”  And he slapped his phone from hand to hand and winked at us.  Steve and I thought we were being walked down a possible trail, and we looked at each other.  “Simple”, Steve told me. “This makes perfect sense, now what?”  And how are we supposed to convey this to the detectives?

But back to the past, Keenan was not finished with his version of events.  He then went on to tell Morgan’s friend that if he had to guess it was Wiley, the kid that lived next door to Brooke, because the stalking started 3 days after he moved in.  How would Keenan know the date the stalking started?  We had not called the sheriffs until days later…no one, except the stalker, should have known at that time.

Another fact check is in order here, Wiley does not in the least bit match any images of the stalker, male or female, as yet caught on video or camera, and he moved into our neighborhood at least a month after the stalking started.  Oh, and Keenan pointed out that Wiley had a “criminal record.”  Not sure about that, Wiley always seemed like a nice kid, and perhaps Keenan should look in the mirror, eh? It is always interesting how guilty people are always trying to point the finger at someone else – they seem to think everyone else in the world is stupid, and can’t figure out that they are lying…I think it is sometimes called a characteristic of a psychopath. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wicked-deeds/201401/how-tell-sociopath-psychopath

Morgan thought this was very odd that Keenan told her friend about how he heard there was a video showing someone around the house on Tuesday night – the night he was gone.  Keenan reminded her friend that “I was on my way to Texas on Tuesday.”  I looked at Morgan and told her that this was just way too much of a coincident.  As luck would have it, Steve and I had just not had the time to review all the cameras and update the information for the detectives at that time, so really, and I mean really – nobody should know about possible videos unless perhaps they were part of creating the video.  Now the ‘march’ without noise, completely avoiding Morgan’s side of the house makes perfect sense.  In case I haven’t told you yet, Morgan’s side of the house has a few surprises around it and that were avoided completely, made perfect sense to Steve.  Someone knew what was there, and did not think they could make it down that side of the house without becoming ensnared.  Stalkers, because they are always surveilling, always know what you are doing to try to catch them, but sadly, in most cases, they are always a step ahead.

Steve looked at me and said, “So Keenan, while on his way to Texas, knew all about the Tuesday incident?  Right!”

Now I really feel strongly believe that it was nothing more than a set-up for an alibi for him, and of course he knew about it – what he doesn’t realize is that it was so obviously a set-up, as you could tell the person caught on the cameras was female, not male, and didn’t fit the description of the previous photos, and she was obviously texting back and forth behind the berm to someone before she started the last leg of the “march” around our house in order to get caught on every camera angle, as well as leaving the next mornings footprints – she was texting to ask if she should abort the mission as it had started to snow.  This was a staged alibi and she was probably told that she had to still go through with it…unfortunately her footprints in the snow were still visible the next day and guess what?  They came right out of the back door of her (Brooke’s) house and proceeded to our house and followed the path of the person caught on our video camera…so it’s not rocket science to know who is shown on that “alibi” walk.

We couldn’t wait for Detective Glassmire to get there, we knew his cameras would have had to have captured a full face shot or two of this person, and Keenan was so sure he had fooled everyone, he couldn’t wait to talk about it.  Too bad we had not had a chance to tell anyone about how it actually happened yet.  It turns out my sudden decision to not tell Elliott is going to pay big dividends.  But then, for the first time, the detective had to delay coming over  and then when he finally did come to check his cameras he said the batteries were dead – in both cameras – they didn’t capture any pictures!  How does that happen?  Lucky stalkers or ???

Email from Garfield County Sheriff Detective Glassmire on November 4, 2011 – this is in response to Morgan seeing Keenan, in broad daylight, waiting for her as she is driving down the hill from her college classes – she was so traumatized over this that one of her male classmates started to walk her to her car after class.

Subject: RE: case #11-20197

I do know that a little over a year ago Keenan’s father did have an address over in that area. I don’t know if that is where Keenan is living. We didn’t see his car there last Sunday. We should know more in the weeks following the pretext phone call. After the phone call I plan to start interviewing everybody close to Keenan, including Keenan.

Let me know if anything else comes up. Don’t hesitate to call dispatch and let them know what you are hearing outside your windows, that you are going to bed (if you are sleeping or getting ready too go to bed). And that if a deputy has time could they do some directed patrol in the area. That will probably prevent them from coming to your door or calling you, but they will hopefully patrol the area and/or walk around the house. The patrol deputies have also been asked to search local areas for suspicious vehicles too. You can always let me know of the details the next day.

Also, I am going to send the same flyer to dispatch (Carbondale Police too) that i sent to patrol so they can also be aware of the investigation and hopefully head off the idea of you having to explain to them every time what is going on.

Thank you for the updates. Rob

Today is October 21, 2012 – And as part of the ongoing investigation we ran through Morgan’s Facebook up until her death.  This was the first time in a long, long time.  Steve had to walk out of the room, it is still too fresh of a wound for him.  He said he thought she was going to call on the phone any moment now and he could not take it.  And then he apologized to those at the house, sifting through the evidence.  It’s so tough for me at times too but, you all give me such strength, and we have to be strong… for Morgan.

A phone number that had no real consequence a year ago has suddenly turned up to have real consequence.  And another amazing thing has happened – Leesa, our lovely daughter-in-law, had long ago volunteered to be the responsible person for Morgan’s new FB page, Morgan’s Stalking.  Steve thought it was too much for her, and didn’t want her to take the responsibility.  I wanted to close the page down because after a nice start, it was attracting such negativity, and I was so busy with everything else I didn’t have the time for it.  Only now, some friends of Leesa’s & Morgan’s have set up a plan with Leesa to manage the page, and continue to raise awareness, and honor the memory of Morgan.  They are all so wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough.

As Steve and I move into the end of the story of Morgan’s life on the blog, and move into what came next, I can’t imagine any more load to carry.  Thank you all so much for what you are doing, and you all know who you are…

October 26, 2011 – Day 86 of Morgan’s Stalking

I miss you rocks on a camping trip

In case the good news slipped under the radar, on the 56th day of the stalking, Morgan’s case was confirmed to be a felony stalking case.  It was 56 days, and it was finally a felony stalking case.  Fifty-six days!  I have read the Colorado Revised Statutes twice, and I don’t see any time restriction, law enforcement does not even have to wait one day.  The US Department of Justice says, “Stalking is a pattern of repeated and unwanted attention, harassment, contact, or any other course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear.

Morgan felt fear from day two.  Steve and I felt fear as well – fear for our daughter’s safety, fear of the unknown.  All of our lives were turned upside down…this had been 56 days of REPEATED harassment, unwanted surveillance, tresspass, and attacks.  The stress we were all under was unbelievable.  I have posted – just when does stalking become stalking?  Today to answer this question, again, it is a pattern of repeated and unwanted attention, harassment, contact, or any other course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel fear.  I would also further like to point out – this is why I believe anti-stalking laws have to become stricter.  It’s one thing to have anti-stalking laws on the books, but it’s another to have those laws enforced, because if locally they are not taken seriously, stalking can become lethal.

At 11:59 pm a rock hit Morgan’s window, and startled her from bed.  Earlier today Steve went outside with a new BB gun, and using plastic bullets to try to approximate the noise Morgan had been hearing on her windows up till tonight.  This was much louder and more upsetting for Morgan.

I sent the detective an email about the incident, which had been caught on the video cameras in the driveway.  He said he is interested to see it next time he is at our house.  I didn’t tell him about the rock incident, as it had to wait until he got back anyway.

Today is October 15, 2012 – And yesterday’s blog was such a perfect example of what I mean about protocol, and laws changing in stalking that I could not pass it up.  Yesterday on the blog, I posted a film clip of a stalker in the driveway.  A strange man doing something nefarious, and I say this because who else would be out in our driveway at 11:30 pm at night crouched behind my car in the driving rain?  And how often would evidence like this be available in a stalking case?

Our sheriff, Lou Vallario has gone on TV and said they were out at our house over 50 times and never saw any sign of a stalker.  His detectives saw this video clip on my computer (and it was very clearly a picture of a male popping up from behind the LR3 into a standing position and running across the driveway to the bushes for cover as our new neighbor Matt drives up the street), and if that is not a sign of a stalker then just what is?  The stalkers don’t come to the front door, and politely request a sign in sheet saying they were there, not our stalker anyway.  Our stalker actually did whatever it took to not be caught in the act – is this a shock to anyone?  In this particular clip we caught him because a neighbor happened to drive up the street while he was hiding behind my car.  If he comes toward the house between the truck and the car then the alarm goes off, the stalker knows this.  He had one way to go – no other way, and he took it.

Lucky for the stalker, Matt did not see him.  Or would that have mattered?  Say Matt saw him and told the detectives he had seen a man leaving our driveway, and hiding in our bushes, would they have arrested someone?  NO!  Would they have gone and questioned someone?  NO!  Based on past reactions to far greater evidence, there would have been no response at all.  Just like there was on October 19th when Morgan was followed home in her car.  Morgan was frightened and frustrated.  She was beginning to lose all faith in the sheriff department’s ability to protect her, or catch her stalker at this time.  And looking back wasn’t she 100% right?  They never caught her stalker, and they were not able to protect her.  They managed a very pathetic murder scene investigation, which they instantly saw as absolutely unrelated to her ongoing stalking.  100 pages of gross incompetence reports later and what crime, there was no crime here, no stalking, no murder…who really believes that?

Interestingly enough the volunteered votes to convict so far on the blog, if those chiming in were on a jury, and had to find guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, the prime suspect Keenan, is, so far, 100% guilty – based only on the blog to date.  And trust me you have not seen the really damning stuff yet.  100% guilt and the sheriffs department has closed the stalking investigation, and the pathologist carried through on his threat, and changed Morgan’s death from natural causes to a suicide, after nine months with no new evidence.  Steve and I were dismayed when the sheriffs indicated that they were 100% certain Keenan was the stalker, because we were far more convinced that Keenan was acting as part of a gang and there were others involved.  We believed there were at least one other, and maybe two other participants at the time.  Now we believe there were at least four participants in total and perhaps as many as five.  And the sheriffs department has dropped the case, felony stalking one day – next day, no stalking, and what changed?  NOTHING!  We believed in the system and what happened – so far there has been no justice for Morgan – people responsible are still out on the streets to go do this again to someone else’s daughter and until changes are made this will just repeat itself over and over again.

Oh, Morgan died, was killed, or committed suicide, that has changed.  But does any of that mean she was not stalked? I think not, not at all.  Steve and I spent over four hours this weekend listening to interpretations of the crime that could lead to a correct manner of death as suicide.  Steve and I said nothing, just listened, and not one person thought this was even a POTENTIAL suicide.  Not one.  And what if it were a suicide?  What if the fear of her stalker drove her to that, how come nobody even wants to mention that as a possibility.  Steve and I are 100% certain it was not a suicide for many reasons that will be shared with you over the next few weeks.  Then you too can decide for yourself.  Just remember, anyone who still votes for suicide will have to answer the question if it could have been caused by her stalker.  And we have not even raised the reason for her death that medical minds thought was most likely, before we found the massive dose of amitriptyline, and before we later found the components of a date rape cocktail.  So answer me this, because I’m her mom, and I don’t get a vote:

  • 100% felony stalking case (plus)
  • Substantial reality of fright from her stalking being a small component in her untimely death (plus)
  • 100% massive dose of Amitriptyline listed as insignificant (plus)
  • 100% evidence of a date rape cocktail of 6 drugs in her system (plus)
  • Ample evidence of a struggle in her room (plus)
  • The PJ’s she wore to bed completely gone from her room (plus)
  • All of her valuable jewelry missing from her room (plus)
  • A suspicious substance (bodily fluids), in minute spots on her chest & neck under black light (plus)
    • Shown in pictures the sheriffs took under the UV light at the crime scene
  • A suspicious substance (bodily fluids), in minute spots over what looks like an injection mark with a human BITE mark over it on the inside of her arm
    • Shown in pictures the sheriffs took under the UV light at the crime scene
  • Wounds on the top and bottom of her right hand (plus)
  • Three nails torn off her right hand (equals)
  • Body found in a completely different position then the position determined that she died in – body moved postmortem!
  • ZERO INVESTIGATION, NONE, NADA.

What if your daughter was murdered and no one cared? What would you do?  Could this possibly get any more pathetic? Of course it can, it is Garfield County isn’t it?

October 15, 2011 – Day 75 of Morgan’s Stalking – More Eyes Watching

pumplin carving 2011

We went to the pumpkin patch early, all of us, along with our two grandchildren.  Morgan loved the picture taking opportunity, and for Morgan to spend time with her little niece, Joni, was special for Morgan, they were getting closer all the time.  Her nephew Odin was still a little too young, but Morgan thought Odin was going to be just like her when he grew up – even his little feet were like hers and they had the same color hair…she adored him.

Back at home I we had plans to meet Detective Glassmire after twelve, and we zeroed in on after 3:00 pm.  When he came to the house at 3:30 with more interesting news.  He had spoken with Brooke about the rumors we were hearing in the neighborhood concerning Morgan and the stalker, and what things she had spoken to others about.  He said that Brooke told him that she gets all of her information from her mom.  Then he went and talked with Brooke’s mom, asking her the same question.  Brooke’s mom in turn said the exact opposite – that she gets all of her information from Brooke – so who’s zooming who?

I expressed to the detective that obviously one of them, if not both were not being truthful, and I was curious as to what he was going to do next.  He said he had decided to let it go for now and revisit it later – why?  He was concerned that Brooke was under eighteen, and he needed to have her father right there to question her, and it had to be done just so.  I didn’t really understand, but I dropped it as well.

Then we discussed the conversation I had had with Elliott and all of the ways that it could be taken.  I thought it would be very positive for Detective Glassmire to question Elliott, particularly about the “they” part of the conversation, as in “they were freaked out,” it had a feeling of guilt to me, and the detective agreed.  But then he did not want to tip off Keenan, or the Harris’ about exactly what we are thinking, better to keep them in the dark.  I told him I really thought Keenan already knew that they were watching him, and that they were trying to talk to him.  And now that he had moved out it might become more difficult.

They had never actually been able to talk with him while he was living in Brooke’s dad’s house with Brooke, and I asked Detective Glassmire if they knew where he had moved to.  The detective said they didn’t, but that they would start checking into it.

That night we all went to a birthday party for a friend of mine.  Steve and myself, with Morgan and Danny.  It was great fun to be out of the house, and at first Morgan had been concerned about how late we were going to stay, as she thought it might be not her cup of tea – Morgan usually did not go birthday parties for my friends with us.  But Danny said he would like to go and after a while she was having a great time, and kept saying how she didn’t think she was going to like a “Grown up party,” (I guess she meant with older people), but was finding fascinating people, and having some really intense conversations.

Steve and I talked about how much she had grown, and watched her mingle.  When we were getting tired, and looking to go, it was Morgan who wanted to stay, we had to promise to bring her with us to the next party before she would leave.  Morgan loved intellectual conversations, and she said this was the first time in a long time she felt she was really satisfying that.

At 8:32 pm, while we were gone, the video surveillance recorded the rear light going on twice.  We reviewed the cameras and did not see anyone.

We now had an extra set of eyes in the neighborhood.  A couple was staying next door for a few days, and their hours were completely different from ours.  They liked to sleep more during the day, and then stay up all night.  They could not patrol much, but they were trying to keep a look out for anything that happened outside or around our house all night.  They had Steve’s cell number, and would call him if they spotted anything outside.  It just figures that they were here to possibly spot something from next door when one of the suspects had just moved out.

A Question About Morgan’s Stalking and Murder – what about the Amitriptyline?

Sun peaking through the rain clouds

Morgan captures the sun getting ready to dry up all the rain

There is question that I answer in just a few words quite often on private submissions. Today it was a comment to a post, and it went like this:

I just have a question about the elavil Morgan was taking two years ago… what was she taking it for? (Re: what medical condition)

Was it for depression or something else?

Well, like a lot of things in this blog I had few minutes left before I had to move onto something else, and I took that time to answer a few comments. This was one of them, and for some reason, I went into far more detail than I usually do, and this is what I wrote:

Morgan NEVER took elavil for depression, as has been reported.  She took it specifically as a prophylaxis (preventative measure) for migraine headaches, and a sharp stomach pain.  No anatomical reasons were ever found for these symptoms so she was prescribed a low dose of elavil (10mg), which helped.  It was later increased to 25mg at the same time another medication was being discontinued.  Morgan never liked the fact that she was taking prescription medications continually with no end in sight, and about two years before her murder she stopped taking elavil completely, and never took it again.  Morgan had NOT had a prescription for years, and had not had a prescription filled by our pharmacy since the time she stopped taking it.  The first Forensic Pathologist honestly was on a phone call discussing how he could not change her manner of death from natural causes, and calmly said Morgan was taking Amitriptyline (elavil, WHICH SHE WAS NOT), for her porphyria (WHICH SHE DID NOT HAVE).  So how can a person so uninformed about Morgan Ingram be in any position to render an opinion about Morgan Ingram?  It was on this phone call that I was threatened by this Pathologist that if I continued fighting the natural causes he would have to look into suicide or accidental overdose, but he couldn’t because he did not find any pills or remnants in her stomach at the time of autopsy.  Now to BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, I have advised everyone involved that she did not take Amitriptyline, and I advised the Sheriffs Detectives in person that I was threatened by the doctor long before he actually carried through on his threat. But have no fear, I’ve been assured by experts I have great trust in, that tests exist, which can correct all of these errors for Morgan, but it will take time, and as everyone knows, time works against Morgan in the pursuit of justice.

Then I smiled to myself, and said – I’ve just realized I got a little carried away with this, sorry, but I wonder, would you mind if your question and my answer were to become a Blog Post? – And she graciously responded:

I would love for you to do an entire blog post on this!

And she added:

And thank you for your answer. This is what I figured as well. Do you think the stalker was able to snoop in your medicine cabinets when he or she broke into your house? Also, do you have any ideas on why, if the stalker wanted to kill Morgan, why he would do so with these medications? Something seems to be niggling at me… like he wanted to make her think she was going crazy and then killed her in the same sort of manner (to make it look like it was in her mind vs the stalker…his mistake was the flexril (Cyclobenzaprine). The MO is the same in her death as the stalking itself… That no one believes her… that it is “her” if you will… Sorry if that did not come out the way I intended it to.

ps, have you looked at the half lives of flexural and elavil? She would have to have been given this stuff between noon and nine pm-ish for that high of a level in my opinion.

And to answer the part two let me borrow another answer from the Blog, and expand on it a little:

We did look into the half lives and here is the thing, when she drove home around 9:00 pm that night and I saw her and then her dad had a long really nice talk with her she was her normal self – very articulate, happy, nothing weird, and if she had that level of those drugs in her body there would have been signs.  I’ve been told and have read that within a half hour of a dose this great being administered there would be visible effects – Steve observed none.  He described Morgan to the Sheriff’s Detective as being “very Morgan”  More specifically, her normal self, they talked about plans, such as when they would take another art class together, how she was worried about the children she would be babysitting the next day, as she thought she was coming down with a cold or something.  How excited she was about things that were happening in her life.  As for someone in her room that night, it took us a long time for our hearts and minds to believe someone was in her room, especially for Steve, he just could not believe that fact, for one thing …it hurt too much.  But as evidence and expert opinions mounted there were no other options.  Morgan’s second Forensic Pathologist believes the Amitriptyline (elavil) was in liquid form and either injected or poured down her throat.  No containers or syringes were recovered from the scene.  I requested of the Sheriff’s Detective that she be checked for possible injections and he assured me that this is always done.  I have since learned that hiding an injection point is a simple matter, an innocent observation of Morgan at her viewing revealed that if an inspection for injections points was even undertaken at all, it was very cursory at best.  So coupled with the fact the stalkers, by nature, invade you life, it is ridiculous for Steve and I to think that Morgan’s stalker was not in our house that night – or that he was in our house many times.

September 15, 2011 – Day 45 of Morgan’s stalking – How Safe Is The Car?

Morgan in the car

A happy Morgan heading off to somewhere

Morgan left to visit friends after dinner, we followed our little routine, where I walk her out to her car armed with pepper spray.  I watched her backing down the drive, and into the street before going back into my office.

Movement outside caught my attention and I noticed, but did not get a very good look at, a little car racing down the street.  It had come from the end of the cul-de-sac where Brooke, her dad, and Keenan live, and was headed out of the subdivision, at a very high speed.  I probably thought something about the excessive speed not being safe, and then went about my work.

At 8:46 pm Morgan called my cell phone, when I answered it, she was not there.  I called her back from the home phone, and she answered. She had been followed!  Morgan said there were 2 people in the car, she couldn’t tell the color of the car, made some maneuver’s to try to lose the car (going down different side streets), and when she couldn’t shake them she pulled in to the CMC college parking lot in Carbondale, because there were people standing outside of their vehicles and without parking, she sat in her car with her doors locked and waited as the car sped by.  Morgan said she waited for a few minutes, and went out a different exit, drove to Hwy 133, doubled back, and then took side streets to her destination.  She was very shook up over this.

Steve was working late while this was all was going on.  When I called him he came right home.  He drove through the neighborhood at regular intervals that night, and came home one time to report a development. The little green car that had been gone for a while, was now back in the Harris’ driveway.  We never could agree exactly when we stopped seeing it, but it seemed to coincide with the amount of stalking activity.

At 9:15 pm Morgan texted, “On my way,”  I answered, “Ok”

Detective Glassmire said, “Wade and Keenan also talked about a hunting trip to Wyoming where they left September 12 and returned September 15.”  So obviously Keenan had returned by this evening…

Today it is September 12, 2012,  Morgan was followed more times after this.  We didn’t have the correct response prepared before this, and even in successive instances, we improved what to do, but then again none of it worked.  After this instance we all agreed Morgan would call me if anything happened.  Steve and I would use our home phone system to conference Morgan in with 911. The Sheriff’s afterwards told us next time she was being followed to keep driving, don’t go home, and stay on the phone with 911, and tell them where she was so Patrol Officers could intercept, and fall in behind the vehicle following her.  Then as more officers arrived she could just pull off the road and they would handle it from there.  It all sounded so good at the time, solutions that ended well always sounded so good.   I’m not blaming myself, but I do know there is a lesson in all of this, a lot of little lessons.  When they lead to a lot of improvements, that will be gratifying.
