A Christmas Long Ago With Morgan & TC…

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE TO YOU…this is my memory of a Christmas long ago.  I know I won’t be able to post a blog tomorrow on Christmas day so I decided to post this one today on Christmas Eve.

This is another happy memory…Morgan & I went down to the ranch to celebrate the Christmas with Morgan’s horse TC.  He LOVED all the attention.  We gave him his Christmas carrots, and lots of brushing, hugs, and kisses.  Morgan loved to place her face against his neck to feel his warmth, and calm.  TC is a very magical horse.

Today and tomorrow are hard days for myself, as well as our whole family, but I try to remember all these magical moments with Morgan, and that keeps me grateful and happy.  Wishing you many magical moments on this very special day.  Wishing for more love, peace and truth in 2016 for all of us.

missing you

Attention friends in Colorado and everywhere…

fohvamp-logo-bwFamilies of Homicide Victims and Missing Persons (FOHVAMP) is a truly amazing organization – one that has continually helped us in our quest for justice for our daughter Morgan. They are a nonprofit out of Colorado.  I know every dollar they receive is put to good use helping many, many families trying to find justice for their loved ones, just as we have been trying these past 4 years.  Steve & I, as well as others we know have just made donations to them.  Please consider going online to their website’s donation page http://www.unresolvedhomicides.org/you-can-help/ and click to make a tax deductible donation before the end of the month – it would be extremely helpful.  Even a $1 donation, when combined with others, adds up.

Colorado has a backlog of 1,750 unsolved murders dating back to 1970. The killers of these victims have never been prosecuted for these murders. They walk among us. They live in our neighborhoods. These murderers, who have escaped justice, pose a serious threat to the safety of every Colorado citizen.  Since 2001 FOHVAMP has advocated for the families of cold case homicide victims and persons missing under suspicious circumstances in Colorado. By bringing together families and friends united by a common tragedy, FOHVAMP mentors these individuals seeking justice for their loved ones.

Please know that every little positive thing we do in the pursuit of helping others, even something as small as donating a $1 to an organization like FOHVAMP, can help make the changes in this world that we all want to see.  We all love our families, and want to protect them – solving murders, and stopping a killer will always make our world a little safer…and really who wouldn’t want that?  Thanking you in advance for making a difference.

THE FIRST DAY OF WINTER IS HERE – DECEMBER 22nd

It’s the first day of winter and I would like to send you all warm wishes today and throughout the rest of the season.  Morgan loved winter, because in Colorado that meant snow…and usually lots of it.

Right after Thanksgiving we would usually purchase a tree permit from the forestry service in order to hike up the mountain in search of a Christmas tree that we would then cut down and bring home to decorate.  That meant sledging through the deep snow, falling down, getting cold and wet, and at the same time laughing, enjoying nature, and drinking lots of hot chocolate.  It was an immense amount of fun and I can still remember it like it was just yesterday.  I miss those adventures, but again, I am extremely grateful that I have those beautiful memories.  Justice for Morgan!

December 22, 2015 – Missing Morgan

Another day, as we get closer to the end of the year, and wondering why it is taking so long to get an investigation officially open in Morgan’s case…and at the same time knowing the “why.”  It’s just that I understand the “why” is important, I get that, but at the same time it seems so unfair that it is taking this long.

I miss Morgan’s little feet in her ballet shoes, up on her toes (as in the picture below).  I remember being in the kitchen making dinner and she would walk into the kitchen in her ballet shoes, up on her toes, and show me the latest thing she accomplished in ballet.  She was so happy, and she was proud of herself, and always wanted to share with me.  It is times like this morning that I just want to scream out that it is NOT fair!  It is NOT right!

I want Morgan back.  No one had the right to horrifically take her life her against her will – no one!   But they did, and now we are all left with a gigantic hole in our hearts.

We miss you Morgan…justice for Morgan!

Another Memory With Morgan…

Memory of a fun vacation in Las Vegas…tickets for Phantom of the Opera, amazing dinner at the new Mario Batali’s restaurant, along with so many other adventures.  I loved our vacations together.  Today I am grateful for such wonderful memories with Morgan.
