Survivors combines investigative journalism and real cases to highlight the growing number of unsolved cases, issues with police transparency, and cases where corruption interrupts due diligence.

Stalking is a pervasive & serious threat! Only 2 days after the felony stalking detective warned us that Morgan’s stalker was most likely going to escalate his behavior – she was murdered! What we didn’t know at that time was that he had “tipped off” the suspects just 2 days earlier that Morgan would be doing her on-camera interview the following week and a possible arrest could be made…so, I guess killing the witness to the crime makes the crime go away?

Morgan’s manner of death was incorrectly concluded as a “Natural Death” for the first 9 months, then after I was threatened by the pathologist to “back off with my questions or else he could change her manner of death to accidental or suicide,” he changed it to “Suicide,” again with no evidence, another incorrect conclusion. All the scientific facts and medical certainty pointed to foul play, but the sheriff would not investigate.

There are no checks and balances when it comes to this happening to a loved one who’s manner of death has been incorrectly listed. Morgan was killed during an ACTIVE INVESTIGATION INTO HER FELONY STALKING and NO investigation into her death ever happened!

The Washington Post did research on only REPORTED cases of homicides, (like many of these stories in the book, so many suspicious deaths that are real homicides go unreported because because they have been misreported. The Washington Post stated, “Out of 54,868 homicides in 55 cities, over the past decade, 50 percent did not result in an arrest.” In my opinion, in this day and age this is not acceptable. This is “Murder with Impunity!”
