2. I believe you. Simply because you were the one closest to her and NOONE knows their daughter more than a good mother. Goes the saying, MOMS are always right.. I mean always. May God bless you and dont give up. She was beautiful and now an angel.

3. I believe you and Dr. Phil should do more. I too was stalked by a Philipino handiman Ed Flores Tan who came to the US illegally and then got amnesty. The Darien police,IL did nothing because he was a handiman at the catholic carmelite church down the road and they stood by him. My home was trashed so I moved before I was killed. Two years later 3 members of the Kramer family was murdered in their home (very near my former home) in Darien,IL aso started with stalking by an ex-boyfriend.
   I feel for you and I know that the justice system is more favorable to smart criminals. I hope and pray that you get justice for Morgan.

   • So sorry Gerardine for what you have been through – the justice system is definitely too favorable to smart criminals…our Constitutional Rights should always be protected, but victims should also be protected – the laws are there but not always being followed and those in law enforcement that refuse to follow those laws should be held accountable.

4. My daughter was stalked harassed for nearly four years ,in the open. a softball game she was attacked on the field in front of all to see , the police said it was a contact sport and they threatened to arrest us all ,even though my husband and I were late having to return home to get a piece of her SB gear,but her grand parents were there. But they still tried to get a warrant because they got tired of the calls to them from us for vandalism to our cars ,home etc. 12000 in damage lawyer fees.and 4000. for a security system cameras the same as yours.they waited for a hurricane to knock out power.no cameras.smashed out my car window the police did nothing at all to help us. this girl hit my car head on in a high school parking lot because she was mad I had her friend arrested for almost running my daughter down five months prior infront of me ! waiting to pick her up.I called for help they said they would arrest me “for stalking”as I said I was driving behind the person . to get his plate number.even though he was not a student at our school.but this is still an on going case.it took a final judgement against her when she shot my house and tried to shoot at my pregnant friend and her husband as I greeted them in my driveway ,we all jumped in our cars and chased them or actually thy got away we finally seen the car hidden in a dark area in the sb field that she was attacked in .thy decided to jump out of they’re car and run for it luckily this time they came by early enough that our neighbors were out walking pets and this time I had plenty of witnesses to this so thy had no choice but to charge the one girl even though they had five al together the boy jumped out he had froze paintballs and shot holes all down my house.so now she will be FINALLY be held accountable for any further damage since she took all blame.don’t give up your husband supports you in this ,my husband and I almost divorced over this .because I always worried for my daughter we had numerous accounts but these are a few of the gazillion times my daughter had to deal with this.this is so sad I truly understand your frustration with the law.I had an ex who stalked myself and is why I fought so hard to end this for my daughter because my mom did the same for me!

   • I am so very sorry you have all had to endure that…it is such a painful thing to go through and for Steve and I we have been married (as of yesterday) 37 years and if it were not for our wonderful and caring grief therapist I am not sure if we would have made it to that anniversary yesterday so I understand. Your daughter is extremely lucky to have you for a mom. I have heard stories like yours from so many people with so many different outcomes because most of the time others don’t want to believe them and to try to protect and defend on a daily basis is so hard!

     Thank you for sharing your story here – I truly believe when people talk about the truth of what has happened to them then others will finally start to understand that something needs to be done. I always tell people stalking is treated these days like rape victims used to be treated years ago (and probably still happens at times even today) where were not believed, they were thought to be the problem and not a victim and they were the ones put on trial and destroyed for coming forward – instead of the predator that did the horrific thing to them. Stalking needs to be taken seriously, law enforcement needs to intervene as soon as possible before it escalates and the victim needs to be protected.
