November 21 – Day 112 of Morgan’s Stalking – almost a whole night’s sleep…

Morgan always photographing

At 4:57 am rocks, or something loud banged on Morgan’s window again, and Steve ran outside, and saw another heat sign on the berm again, but as usual, by that time he could not spot any movement.  We stayed up from that time on, and then at 6:10 am a small grey car with tinted/dark windows drove out of our cul-de-sac.  We had no idea who’s car that was, or why it was leaving at that time…remember there were not that many people living on our block at that time, and I believe we recognized most cars, so this was a big question for us.  Who was in that car, and why was it there at that time?

A lot of people this week have left town to make a whole week’s vacation out of Thanksgiving, which will be this Thursday, so their vacation week is now starting.  Ski season this year is not looking that great, because we have been cold, but there has not really been much snow.  All three of us are so tired and frustrated, but still trying to think of ways that we can catch the person or person’s doing this.  Steve talks about adding more motion alarms to the front of the house by Morgan’s windows, in the trees or something – we are still not sure how this will work – the problem with this was that we needed to find different frequencies if we added more motion detectors, or when an alarm went off in our room, we would not be able to tell which detector just went off – right now we had the alarms that sounded off, in different parts of our bedroom so we would know which alarm outside was sounding off.  This afternoon, after work, Steve was able to locate 2 more motion alarms that were on different frequencies.  I know that doesn’t sound so exciting to most people, but to us this was an exciting thing…I guess that was our reality at the time.

Here is post Morgan put on her Facebook on this day:

Today Steve and I had decide we really have to move – the impact of all this is too much.  We started to call up on rentals that sounded nice and actually made appointments to go look at some places.

I will now skip to this evening, and thankfully for Morgan, and us, tonight was quiet – this was now another reality for us…we are so thankful for quiet!

    • Yes – you can find it on the right side of the blog page and just click on the link. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!

      • Bruising on a living body does not happen until 12 to 48 hours after the trauma. I do not know about bruising after death has occurred. I would think it would be much slower r/t the heart not pumping. If the ME looked at your daughters body before the bruising appeared, the ME might have missed the signs of a homicide. You need to find out what qualifications your ME has. I know this is going to sound bizarre, honest to God some MEs are elected. They have no prior schooling. Some of the Nurses I work with were talking about this. I got on line and found a site that stated MEs can be elected. I will include you in my prays to night.

  1. I came across this blog through Facebook a few days ago and I have been comsumed by it. I can not believe you and your daughter had to live through this. While reading it, I feel like I have been living it with you. I have found myself looking out windows looking for someone standing there. My husband works for a home security company and we have installed home surveillance. We have already caught 2 incidents on them relating to theft and destruction of property and we have only had them for about 6 months. I have read all the comments, police reports, death reports and looked up the people on facebook. How can people be so cruel? And why would you try to cover those that are guilty?!?! From all my reading, I have come to the conclusion that you and your husband were the detectives in this whole entire thing. Police would get information and “SIT” on it for quite some time before doing (if anything) about it. You collected everything and documented everything. For people to say that she didn’t have a stalker are blind. There is so much information in the reports that prove it. For those that say you made this all up…WOW!! Who would want to make all this stuff up and have to be awake at all hours of the night for a lie? Especially when in the police reports they write that they would see the videos and see someone in them. I’m sorry that people are questioning you in this very trying time. I have not noticed any inconsitancies in your story, but I have with the police. Just the 3 dectectives reports on her death are different. One dectective noted the blood in her mouth and mark on her head and the others didn’t! Oh, and lets not forget the Coroner changing is cause of death because he IGNORED all the drugs in her system. Toni, keep strong. You’re doing an amazing job to help others and bring justice to those involved. It may take days or years, but it will happen. Someone will slip! Can’t wait to read the rest of your blog posts. Hugs to you and your family!

    • Andrea – thank you so much for your words of encouragement! Like I keep telling everyone – it really doesn’t bother me when some people are negative or don’t believe our story because I know what we say is the truth and that will never change. I wish with my entire being that it wasn’t the truth and it didn’t happen and we could have Morgan back, but we realize that will not happen so now we pick up the pieces and do what we have to do to get an investigation open, get justice for Morgan, and help as many others as we can so they do not have to go through a horrific stalking situation and loss of a loved one like we have. Again, thanks for your support and I am glad you have a security system, I wish we had had one back then.

      • We all live and learn from mistakes and it is horrible that it was such a tragic outcome, but you are making a HUGE difference. You and your husband are amazing individiuals! Can’t wait to hear the rest of your story.

  2. Toni after watching the Dr. Phil show she does look worried on how far this will go, but no one seemed to say but they got into your house, but you mentioned that morgan was late. Where was she no one know’s and could she of been drugged out side the house and drove or walked home and then you never detected if something could of happened at the corner of your street. Things do not add up and were the 2 of them ? and k given a lie detector. You need to find this out.

    • As far as I know no one was given a lie detector test. Morgan was gone between 2 – 6:00 pm and we know who she was with and what she was doing – she drove a friend around Aspen so he could fill out job applications. We spoke with her via text messaging at 6:00 pm and she apologized that she didn’t get home at 4:00 pm as planned and her phone died and she didn’t have the charger until she got back to Carbondale. We asked her if she would like to meet us for dinner – she declined but said she would be home after we got home (she couldn’t go home unless we were there because of the stalker) and we arrived home at 8:00 pm and she arrived home a few minutes after 9:00 pm. She was tired so she came home early. She drove the car home, got ready for bed, texted the person she was with earlier and then had a really nice talk with Steve for about 15 – 20 minutes and then went to sleep around 9:30 – 9:45 pm. Morgan was scared of her stalker(s) and did not go out of the house by herself after dark, unless she asked Steve or I to walk her out to the car so she felt safe – trust me when you have been watched, stalked, terrorized, followed and woken up at all hours from sharp bangs on your window you really wouldn’t want to walk down the street or anything after dark.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. Never give up – you are her parents, you know, you have instincts.

  4. I too am a mother…please never stop listening to your instinct. Your family is in my prayers. I pray someone listens. God Bless!!

  5. This may sound far fetched but I’ve seen shows featuring real psychics who work with police in solving cases that have gone cold. This case would be a good candidate since unfortunately there seems to be no hard evidence to go off of. You may consider seeking one out along with a private detective. Gather more facts and prepare a case to present to the police. If there are solid leads, they will re-open the case. I’m so sorry for your loss and wish you the best of luck finding justice for Morgan.

    • Not far fetched at all – in fact we have an extremely wonderful psychic that works with police and FBI and she has given us excellent details as well as 3 other very well known psychics that have weighed in on Morgan’s case and have confirmed the same details. We are definitely gathering as many facts as we can, and we are preparing a case to be turned over to the authorities – it just won’t be these authorities because as our Sheriff Lou Vallario said on CNBC channel 4 – they will never reopen Morgan’s case…have you ever heard of that happening? I wonder who he was really talking to when he made that statement.

  6. Toni,

It is too bad that the neighborhood didn’t get together and form a group that watched your house and tried to find out what was going on. If people had gotten together and tried to work at surveillance and investigating what was going on with the stalking, maybe whoever was doing it could have been caught. It is so horrific that the detectives and law enforcement didn’t take this more seriously. The battery problem with them was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. How could they have not had fresh, working, new, batteries? That makes no sense at all. It is like they didn’t even really want to find out who was doing it and like they didn’t believe you and it seems like sometimes they were just going through the motions of trying to placate you. How wrong and someone in LE needs to be held accountable!
