Amazon has the Discovery ID program “Suspicion – Edge of Insanity” offered for $1.99

Just found this on Amazon, Suspicion – Edge of Insanity. I thought I would let everyone know that the episode that dramatizes what happened to Morgan can be purchased for $1.99 on Amazon for those who are unable to get Discovery ID on their TV sets.

Obviously it is a mini drama and the house, neighborhood, and exact events look different than they really were.  Morgan’s stalking lasted 4 months and the sheriffs were called over 50 times to our house, but the story had to be shrunk down to just over 40 minutes.

One part that was surprising to me was when I heard the actress say, “I have to get out of here” this was strange because in reality in the last month of Morgan’s stalking her sister, best friend, Godfather, soul mate, along with myself all tried to get her to leave to keep her safe, but Morgan would not do it.  She had a small puppy and would not have been allowed to bring her if she were to go stay with one of them.  I told her I would take care of her puppy, but she just wouldn’t leave her.  She felt it was irresponsible for her to not finish her semester at college and to leave her puppy behind so she refused to go.  That was Morgan – she was responsible to a fault.  She should have left.  I should have insisted.  Everyone had a bad feeling, not just me, and in the end when danger is felt you need to run to a safe place.  While victims cannot control the stalking behavior, they can be empowered to take steps to keep themselves, family and loved ones safe. The creation of a safety plan can assist victims in doing this. Trust your instincts.  If you’re somewhere that doesn’t feel safe, either find ways to make it safer, or leave.

The National Center for Victims of Crime suggests you have a stalking safety plan that includes packing a bag with important items you’d need if you had to leave quickly. Put the bag in a safe place, or give it to a friend or relative you trust.

I think Discovery ID did an excellent job on conveying the fear and utter devastation that happened.  I am thankful that this episode has brought more awareness to the seriousness of stalking.  One moment life was beautiful for our family and the next moment a dark presence had penetrated our world and our lives will never be the same again.  In a Colorado minute everything can change…

  1. The episode didn’t show if anything was captured on the security cameras. I am very curious if anything was caught on the security cameras or if police saw any evidence of a break in. Or any evidence of someone being outside of the house such as foot prints or cigarette butts. I’m very sorry for your loss. I hope you soon find answers that can give you some sort of peace.

      • Please read the blog starting from day one of Morgan’s stalking. You will see pictures of footprints, pictures of the stalker as well as what our house actually looked like. A one-story with windows all the way up to under the roof line – that is how he was making the tapping sound on the windows without being caught on film once the cameras were installed. He climbed on to the roof and leaned over Morgan’s window and swung a metal washer to create a startling bang on the glass in the middle of the night. https://morgansstalking.com/?p=389

    • Yes, 2 of the cameras captured evidence, and there was also hard evidence that Morgan fought her attacker, that she was murdered, that her jewelry, driver’s license, bottom bed sheet were taken from her room, her body was moved and staged after she was already dead. The sheriffs did not see any sign of a break in which should have been expected as the stalker had already broken the lock on the front door and then back slider in the beginning of the stalking. Steve fixed the back slider lock and replaced the front door lock with a heavy duty keypad lock. Many, many times the stalker tried pushing the numbers to get in our house in the middle of the night, we changed the code, but after Morgan’s murder we were told that if someone was looking through a scope (like hunters have, like Morgan’s stalker was) they could see the numbers light up at night when pushed and it wouldn’t take long for them to figure them out. There are also inexpensive scanners that can be pointed at the pad after it is pushed and the keys that were pushed will show up. We knew known of this during her stalking and that is why I try to warn people – the more you know the more you can protect your loved ones. And the female stalker’s accessory was possibly able to get keys to our back sliders from her father. We never realized that until after Morgan’s murder. He denied on national tv ever having keys, but he did. We caught him in one of the empty houses that had been locked in the neighborhood a year before her stalking. He was the HOA President at the time and he told us he had keys to all the vacant homes just in case of an emergency. Our home had been one of those “vacant” homes before we had leased it. So it is very plausible the female and male stalker could have gotten in to our home without any signs of a break in. And besides all of those possibilities, a person trying to help with the case months later showed us exactly how easy it was to get in to any front door in our neighborhood, within 60 seconds – I was shocked. So please do not think stalkers, burglars, rapists or any criminal needs to kick in a door or jimmy a lock or break a window, because it is absolutely FALSE. What you need to know is to install a slide deadbolt lock on the inside of every exterior door, including the door between your garage and your house. You need bars inside your sliding windows. There are some great ideas for safety – especially if you know you have a stalker. Stalkers do get into the homes of their victims more often than not.
