Steve and I are embarking on a course of action to file a compliant wherever conduct rose to a level that a complaint is warranted. It will take weeks, if not months to do this, and will not be limited to any one component of the crimes committed against Morgan Ingram, we seek to include all of the crimes committed against Morgan. Whenever possible, a copy of the complaint will be posted on MorganIngram.com and talked about here on the Blog. I am really not sure how often it will be appropriate to post the complaint, but I’m hoping that at least half of the time it will be shared as it happens.
Today I am reflecting, I am honoring all our nation’s murder victims, and their surviving family members as part of this day of remembrance. And even though Steve and I include ourselves in that group, technically we are not, because Morgan’s official cause of death went from natural causes to suicide. Obviously I want to ask the question of how do you call the death of a 20 year old woman, found with a date rape cocktail containing no less than six different recognized date rape drugs in her system, with all of her jewelry (of value) missing from the room she was found in, after being viciously gang stalked for four months, and with what has been called by numerous professionals, a “massive” dose of Amitriptyline also in her system, when she had not taken amitriptyline or had a prescription for over 18 months before her murder. Can’t help but add that the Forensic Pathologist who came to this conclusion produced a document, with his notes clearly handwritten on it, explaining that “while it may seem large amount of Amitriptyline it was really insignificant” and STILL TO THIS DAY maintains she was taking Amitriptyline right up to her death! But of course, until Morgan’s voice (us as her surviving parents) has the chance to question all this in a court of law, nothing changes. If this were your daughter wouldn’t you want answers, transparency, compassion, to be informed? Why didn’t this happen? Wouldn’t you fight for your child – no matter how long it took?
Last night, just before midnight, another milestone was reached –
The Morgan’s Stalking Blog reached over one million views in 84 countries!
And the part of that “stat” I am most excited about is that we have helped three stalking victims start to reclaim their lives, and also helped many others to at least share their story and seek help.
So take a second today to reflect on those who have been senselessly murdered, and the extreme pain that their families have had to, and will have to endure. Morgan told me many times that the way things are done now mom, is through social media – it seems she was right again. We love you Morgan . . .and always will, until we meet again.
Love, Mom & Dad
That was beautifully written. I’m so glad you guys have been able to help other victims. Morgon would be so proud of you.
We really appreciate that! Talk to you soon.
You are doing such important work.
Thanks Emily – lots of love to you!
No amount of information is TOO MUCH for you to share!!! Put it all out there, every complaint, every dismissal, every detail that you now look back on and shake your head in disbelief. Morgan’s life was taken from her long before the day she was murdered in her bed, although she did everything to hold on to her claim on life and try to be “normal” WHY should she ever have had to do that?? You are her voice, you will be the source of her vindication and you will be the driving force behind justice for Morgan and a safer world for my daughters. I hope you are beginning to feel like you have taken back some of the power that was taken from your family over a year ago, because the scales have begun to tip in your direction. I feel it, your readers around the world feel it, our poor excuse for a Sherrif and Coroner feel it and hopefully that sadistic psycho and those who protect him are feeling it. You have the power now. Morgan will not be have been lost in vain, as you have already proven by helping others who have been helped just because you came forward with this blog. Peace and Blessings. – Valerie
Thanks Valerie and you are so correct in what you are saying. Steve and I have finally gotten our power centers back…the pain of losing Morgan created a lot of lack of focus in us so to speak. Anyway, lots more coming out soon so stay tuned, and we appreciate all the peace and blessings you are sending our way!
Thinking of your family daily. I am so happy to have found this blog! Your daughter was beautiful inside and out. May she make an impact on the World! God has a beautiful, sweet angel! <3 Love to all!
Kristy, I cried when I read your comment…thank you, we know Morgan was a gentle, sweet and caring human, but it makes me feel so good inside when others know it as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Morgan is guiding you and you are doing a wonderful job. You are so brave to put yourself out there. let her spirit guide you so that she can one day be at peace. i havent stopped reading since the first day i found this page. i think the way you write is beautiful and your story deserves to be published and made into a movie.you are a good mother. you and your husband did everything you could do, and i am so sorry she was taken from you.
Thank you Kandice for your kind words. Steve and I both feel like Morgan’s spirit is guiding us as you mention, and with the help of so many others on the other side and here on earth we feel like we are doing some good in this world instead of the opposite.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Steve and I will ever think we did enough to save Morgan, but just like Polly Klaas’ father Mark said, if someone wants to get you they will…we understand that as well. Take care.
YES, it is absolutely helping! I keep coming back and feeling compelled to leave you some love. I don’t have anything new to add or say, but that I’m thinking of you and Steve and sending you encouragement:)
Thanks Katie!
<3 Keep your spirits up. Continuing to pray for hearts to be peaceful. Thanks for all you have shared about the dangers we live with in this valley. I hope my 15 year old daughter feels my love for her like Morgan feels for you and Steve.
Katie – thanks so much…all your encouragement make us feel really good inside 🙂
wow, one million – that is amazing. through your grief and loss you are obviously helping others. sharing your story and information might save ONE life although it is not lost on me that you have had to lose the most precious thing to you to possibly save another through that story. morgan’s impact on others has continued even beyond her time here with you. that is a miracle in and of itself! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3!! you are in my prayers and thoughts every single day. morgan is blessed to have parents that love enough to keep fighting for her and what is right.
Amber thank you so much for you kind words…we will keep fighting for Morgan, and for what is right, and we will never give up…take care!
I am confused about the gang stalking comment…. will information be coming about that later, or did I miss that somewhere? I wish you the best and hope you get some GD justice!
It will be coming out – it might have been a slip of the keystrokes, but be assured it will come out pretty soon.
Sending you both some California LOVE!!!!!
And sending you some Colorado love right back – and I really mean that. Take care 🙂
Yes, the blog is helping and probably more than you will ever know. It’s created conversation online, with our loved ones, and most importantly it is creating awareness. Keep up the amazing and difficult work you are doing. Morgan is very proud of you!
Amie
Amie – you are the BEST! I have been getting so much reinforcement from so many people, but honestly this is so much more difficult than I could have ever imagined, and I know understand, and I appreciate your comment.
Our oldest daughter warned us that what we were going to do with this blog would be extremely taxing, and she was really worried about us – and she also knew no matter what she said we were going to do what we knew we had to do. So bless you for understanding.
Hi Toni,
So many of us are thrilled to see you all making progression in filing individual criminal complaints.this will not only be a step toward receiving justice for Morgan but it also will very much allow you and Steve to have so much more of the documents that have been thus far witheld from you.
One such burning injistice is that of Kurtzman and his choices he made in ruling on Morgan’s cause of death as natural despite large amounts of especially the amitriptyline. is there any way you could also scan in and post Kurtzman’s ridiculous error filled first report, like you were able to post Doberson’s newest findings?
Do not back down you guys are definitely on the path that will lead to answers and therefor justice for your beautiful daughter, Morgan Jennifer Ingram.
Lieza thank you – we are still trying to get the complete documents in order to clear up a few quite serious inconsistencies first, then a decision will be made about what to release. In case you missed this it’s kind of like the reporter from the Post Independent – he received the 2nd autopsy results via fax at almost the same time that I did. I know because we were on the phone talking as our fax machines were spitting out the reports. The reporter released his story about Morgan and our family the following morning, and what exactly he received I don’t know as he would not share that with me. I sent the report I received on to Dr. Dobersen so he could investigate it (which took a week), and then he interpreted it for us and there was a BIG difference. If any event I was just told tonight that the autopsy report has been released, and once again I haven’t seen what was released this time, so it is already out there in some form.
In the times you went outside when you heard things at the window – some days you indicated it was large rocks and other days it sounded like pebbles – did you ever find those rocks outside of the window? I read in one post that you suspected it was a telescoping wand or something being used from the roof, but wasn’t sure if you’d ever found evidence of rocks also. If so, did you save them for fingerprinting?
She mentioned in a previous post that the area directly around the house was dirt and rock, the grass didn’t go all the way up to the walls. The detective even demonstrated how a dirt clod could make a sound like a rock hitting the wall and then not look out of place where it fell.
Michelle is right, so there was nothing that they could collect in the way of rocks – there were rocks and dirt clods everywhere…sorry, I wish that wasn’t the case.
If you only help one person come forward to speak their truth, or if you only educate one person as to what to do if they are stalked, then you are relevant. By your accounting its over 1 million. Thank you!
I could not agree more. <3
Thank you both – Steve and I are feeling really good about getting the word out, raising awareness, and helping others…we are getting the feedback and we are really happy about that.
I hope we do as well moving forward in Morgan’s case. One day we feel like we have made so much progress and the next day we feel like we are falling behind…ugh.
Toni and Steve,
I recently came across a link to your blog and read it from the beginning to now in absolute horror! I cannot imagine what your family is going through and I pray that someday you can all begin to find peace again. I am absolutely shocked at how the law enforcement has “handled” the whole situation. I, for one, think you are doing a wonderful thing by putting this all out there, for several reasons.
First, Morgan deserves to have her story told. I never knew her, but I can see that she was an amazing woman, strong and kind and loving and determined and brilliant. She had so much waiting for her in life and she never got to experience it because of that monster. I can’t even begin to tell you how sorry I am that you had your daughter ripped away like that. Her story should be told. The more people who hear about this, the more likely we can MAKE law enforcement listen, change policies, change laws. Not enough was done by them to help you protect Morgan. I can see the desperation in your words as you describe all the ways you tried to protect her. They should have done more!
And this story, your recounting of what you lived through and still live through, of mistakes made and information you wish you’d have known, you are educating us. Your words on this blog are helping to keep others safe, to stop the loss of other lives. And that you can see through your pain to be thankful for that is so amazing to me. You are beautiful people. Thank you for doing this.
I have shared your blog with everyone I know, and several of them have passed it along to their own friends. Everyone should read this.
Michelle
Michelle – thank you, thank you, thank you – you have filled my heart!
Hi Toni and Steve,
I have been following your blog and I think you are doing a great service by being so open about the terrible situation you are in. I am really sorry that you lost your daughter and I think you are both really brave and strong. I think Morgan seems like she was an awesome girl, I think I would have really liked her 🙂 Best wishes for the future and I hope one day soon I will read about justice for Morgan.
Love from Australia 🙂
Thank you so much for believing in us…much love from Colorado back to you in Australia.
I told my mother about this blog. She wondered if there was no possible way to get the FBI involved since your police department is doing nothing? I wanted to pass that question onto you.
-Amber
Morgan’s Stalking is making a big difference. Through your heartbreak and loss, you are making a difference by sharing the story and by reaching out to other victims. I hope new laws, education and real, lasting justice for Morgan will be the testimony of all your family has been through and continues to go through.
Continue to fight the good fight. My prayers are with your family.
Obviously I’m late to the blog here and I’ve started from the beginning and read everything today. I just wanted to say how amazing you both are, so strong and brave and loving. You don’t lose your composure even in the face of so much adversity. Morgan would be so proud!
I can’t wrap my head around how much this case was bungled and the lengths they’ve gone through to keep from rectifying their mistakes. I’m hoping and praying that by the time I reach the last blog post there has been a huge change of tune. The whole thing is just ridiculous. Do they really think Morgan committed suicide without leaving evidence or a note when all three of you are terrified of a relentless stalker? That’s beyond stupid, no loving daughter would do that to her parents. And no innocent teenager would have access to those drugs and be able to administer them without leaving some evidence behind! The nerve of them to chalk it up to that and not listen to you and not do proper testing when she has a known stalker is the height of idiocy. If the coroner and LE hasn’t fixed this in the last 3 years I’m going to be livid! I can’t believe what you’ve had to go through, it’s worse than any horror movie.
God bless you and way to go fighting for your daughter and for all stalking victims! I’m sure you’ve helped many more than you’ll ever know.
Susan I just cried and cried when I read this comment. I read what you said to Steve and my heart is breaking because I wish I could tell you that someone in the state of Colorado has been able to “force” Morgan’s case open, but they have not. There have been officials at the state level that have tried, I will give them that, but they all back down because Colorado is a Home Rule state meaning local authorities have local jurisdiction and if they refuse to let any other agency in they can and Sheriff Lou Vallario has refused to allow anyone else in to investigate. At this point it is obvious to me that they have a lot to lose if another law enforcement agency comes in and starts “poking around” so this cover-up probably involves a lot more than just Morgan’s murder. I have been told her case is not getting opened for political reasons – as far as I am concerned the murder of a 20 year old during an “active” investigation into her stalking that was never investigated, then swept under the rug with a series of lies, and because of Home Rule there are no checks a balances, no accountability to anyone, then a murderer(s) remains free to kill again, and my daughter doesn’t receive justice that’s not political…that is called total injustice! Morgan was a citizen of the US, a citizen of Colorado, she was a kind and gentle human being that never hurt a soul so how dare they lie about her and act like she never mattered? We will keep fighting for Morgan and all others that no longer have a voice. And thank you for being livid – many others are too and as well they should be. If this can happen to Morgan it can happen to anyone.
