No, the kitty is only asking questions.
That could be – he is a scaredy cat so to speak, when the EMT’s came in to Morgan’s room, or for that matter if anyone he didn’t know came into Morgan’s room, he would run and hide somewhere in her closet. So I don’t know whether he saw what happened or maybe he was hiding at that time.
Hi, I’ve been following Morgan’s story for a few weeks now, and I had a thought pop into my head last night. This seems as good a post as any to ask about it. I remember reading that when you found Morgan’s body, her dog and cat were in the bed too, and there have been other posts stating that the family dogs often had no reaction to the stalker’s activity. Is it possible that the stalker was slipping treats to the pets to quiet them? Maybe even treats laced with sedatives? I’ve heard of burglars doing that to quiet dogs. And if you think the stalker got ahold of veterinary drugs and used them on Morgan, maybe he gave a little something to the dogs too? Just an idea…
No when I found Morgan it was unusual because her bathroom light was on and the kitty and puppy were both sitting in her bathroom looking dazed and confused. When Steve started CPR on Morgan I put our big dog (that was closed up in our bedroom that night on the other end of the house) into the laundry room and called 911 – Morgan’s puppy was skidderish and would not let me grab her again when Steve pushed Morgan on her side and started the CPR so I could not take the time to chase her and then when the EMT’s came in and took over Morgan was on the floor and when I looked up I saw Morgan’s puppy was sitting on her bed looking very confused. That’s when I picked her up and put her in the laundry room with our older dog. At that time we had only heard the puppy growl once – actually we didn’t Morgan did, and that was the morning she was alone when I went to the bank and someone tried punching in our door code. Other than that time the puppy never barked. She started very rarely to bark probably about 2 months after Morgan died. She could have been given treats like you suggest, even laced with sedatives, or if she was sleeping next to Morgan she could have had something like Chloroform or Ketamine on a rag put over her little face, along with Morgan so they wouldn’t wake up – this is just one of my thoughts on this.
My heart just broke.
That is the saddest and most horrifying story I have ever read. I couldn’t do anything else for the last 3 days, but reading, crying and thinking about you all. I really hope you get answers and changes are made. I don’t know how you do it but we are all here for you. With a my love and support.
