Just how smart is your stalker?

lightmorganThis is far more than just a fair question, it is an assessment that has to be made because your safety will ultimately depend on knowing.  Morgan’s stalker was reputed to have problems at school, and be more of a loner than “a group player”.  These are both common traits of stalkers, even serial killers, and while they are great to know, let’s focus on just “smarts”.

Her stalker had hunting “smarts” a trophy hunter for many years.  Bow hunting deer, a Buck, 5X5 at 288 yards with one shot. Wild boar, Alligator, not a little one, 12 – 15 feet I believe.  Wall to wall in my bedroom, most other bedrooms too, I certainly would not want to tangle with that, Steve either.  This along with many other “kills”.

This hunting “smarts” portends of great concealment skills, the ability to avoid detection, while detecting the prey at the same time.  Cornering it, stalking it, tracking it, anything needed for one clean shot.

Steve knows some avid bow hunters, and they tell stories of remaining motionless for hours as the prey approaches.  Just part of the kill, being able to conceal yourself, and then to remain motionless behind a stand of bushes, or inside a stand of bushes, or even somewhere up in a tree.  Does anyone really wonder how Morgan’s stalker managed to avoid the Sheriffs so completely?  Really?  It was child’s play for a young man with his hunting smarts.

Steve and I had no idea this is what we were dealing with.  That knowledge could have been put to use to protect Morgan, but it was not.  The Sheriffs were at the house a few times to “stake out” Morgan’s stalker.  One of the few times we watched a deputy on a video camera for around a half hour.  Amazing how well the light from a cell phone pierces the night when someone is texting.  And the glow in the dark Sheriff’s logo on the back of the uniform – really is that concealment?  Sincerely I hope the goal was not to hide out in our yard, but then why else would you stand there for a half hour?  I have not found a supplemental report on the “stake out” yet so I guess I have to guess what he was doing out there.  And of course I must also wonder if it was one of the fifty times the Sheriff’s were at our house, and did not see a sign of a stalker.

Morgan’s stalker had high skills of concealment without doubt.  But that was at night.  Morgan saw him, many times, during the day.  Why do those reports seem to not be showing up anywhere?  If it was during the day does that make him not a criminal. a felon,  because that is what seems to have happened, at least so far it has.

Keenan’s boss at work gave him high praise, as an employee and a person.  Mere weeks later he was in cuffs along main street Glenwood Springs after selling a trove of treasure at a “cash for gold store”, turned out to be stolen.  During his arrest for that a trunk of drugs was found in his car, all prepackaged for sale, along with a scale, and other drug paraphernalia.  All this right after high praise from his boss at work, and even though Morgan had told her felony stalking detective that she had heard that her stalker was a drug dealer.  I have been told that his boss is an Uncle, after I included that fact in a post I was corrected that he was an Uncle by marriage.  Whichever, by marriage or not, would this give him incentive to exaggerate for his young nephew?  I also wonder if Mogan’s detective, Detective Glassmire knew all this. Actually I know he did not know about the arrest in Glenwood, because I was the one who told him months after it happened.

Using friends is smart, not just any friends either, friends that will help you out of a scrape with the law, cover for you, that is true criminal friend smarts.  Keenan managed to move in right down the street during the stalking, living with his new girlfriend, Brooke Harris.  She covered for him, wouldn’t let the Sheriffs in to talk with him.  The Deputies heard loud noises in the house, and asked about them at the front door, but Brooke said he was sleeping.  Christine Harris, Brooke’s mom spread rumors around the neighborhood to help cover up Keenan’s actions.  And Jim Harris, Brooke’s dad, admits to knowing Keenan was thought to be the stalker by the Sheriffs and let him stay at his house.  That all exhibits people smarts to me.  How to use them, get them to cover for you, etc.

More than once an investigator we have talked with has told Steve and I that a nineteen year old is not capable of all this, even part of it, there was an adult involved.  Austin Sigg, the prime suspect in the Jessica Ridgeway murder, and dismemberment is reputed to be 17 years old.  A perplexing question, are the investigators who suggest a nineteen year old is not capable of carrying out a murder with the sophistication of Morgan’s murder right or was there an adult involved too?

For Austin Sigg, this is not the only crime he is suspected of.  On May 28, 2012, a 22-year-old woman fought off a stranger who grabbed her from behind, and put a rag over her mouth. She told police the rag smelled of chemicals.  There was NO TEST conducted to see if a rag containing chemicals was placed over Morgan’s mouth on the night she was killed.  Just speaking hypothetically if a seventeen year old is allegedly capable of this wouldn’t the prime suspect in Morgan’s case, a nineteen year old, be capable?  Or would adult help be needed?  I truly wonder.

Another most important fact from the Jessica Ridgeway case is that Austin Sigg is reported to have confessed the crime to his mother, and then she reported the crime to the police – part of the solution, not part of the problem.  Has Keenan said anything to anyone, and are these individuals “clamming up”?  In the world of criminal smarts I would think that nothing would be told to anyone, although I have heard that he has bragged about the crime to others.

But then if his mother did know anything would she report it to the authorities?  She denies he ever had behavioral issues in grade school, the perfect student.  Why does nobody else in his class that I have spoken with agree with that statement?  If she won’t admit that he got into fights in grade school I doubt she is reporting anything.  Keenan plea-bargained his most recent arrest in Glenwood Springs – which, as it has been explained to me, means he admitted to some things, and others were dropped.  He was never “cleared” of anything as his mother would like the world to believe.

Cleared of all charges, never mentioned as a suspect in Sheriff’s reports, never had any problems in grade school, sound asleep – can’t be woken up for a talk with Sheriff’s Deputies.  See how this all works?  Unless you are part of the solution, you are part of the problem.  Very disturbing how easy it is to lie, mothers covering for sons, girlfriends covering for their boyfriends, mother’s of girlfriends cooking up stories, fathers of girlfriends sliping-up and admitting who the stalker was.  Yet nobody ever calls the authorities to report anything.  That is criminal smarts to surround yourself with people like that – don’t you think?

And to ignore that your stalker is smart – that is tombstone mentality – which I am embarrassed to admit that Steve and I had.  Please don’t allow yourselves to underestimate your stalker, his criminal intelligence will be inscribed in everything he does, pay attention to it.

  1. Toni, just wanted to share a positive thought
Three things can not be long hidden:
The sun, the moon and the truth. – Buddha.
It seems fitting for the last few blog posts you have shared, the truth will come out.

      • Just watched your story on doctor Phil! You will get justice one day for your poor innocent daughter. Never give up

      • Your Dr. Phil episode is currently being shown in Denmark. First of all, I’m sorry for your loss. Please don’t take this the wrong, but most teenagers hide their drug use from their parents and not every suicidee shows signs of depression. Whether your daugther was murdered, comitted suicide or took an accidental overdose, I pray you find closure.

        • Thank you Denmark for your prayers. If any of those things happened, and I knew it I would accept it, but the only thing that we have solid evidence of (that we can not just put in black, and white on this blog) is that Morgan not only did not take an accidental overdose or commit suicide – the evidence shows us without a doubt that she was murdered, and if your child is stalked, and then murdered, and you know by all the experts on stalking and murder that you have spoken with, that this person won’t and can’t stop, and will do it again, wouldn’t you be doing the same thing as we are doing? Trying to get law enforcement to open her case and investigate and review the evidence? That is what this blog was about as well as raising awareness of the seriousness of stalking. We want to save any future victims. We have two older children – Morgan was the youngest at age 20 being murdered…we took in other children over the years (all but one were teenage boys) so I know you can’t always know what they are doing, but I will tell you this, after all the experience I have had with kids over the years Morgan was definitely unique – she was not like other 20 year olds that I know, and if you knew all the details about her last week on earth, and all the personal precautions she was implementing herself that last week, you would know that for the pathologist to change her manner of death from “natural causes” (which it wasn’t, and he should have known) to “suicide” after over 8 months (which it wasn’t, and if they had investigated at all they would have known). All of the details will come out in court, once there is a court case, but until then a lot of this we will have to keep for the investigators only.

  2. Dear Toni,

I follow this Blog with such a heavy heart & much frustration. And now, fear. Please be careful as to what you reveal. As we know, there is a “lunatic” out there.Do not let your guard down.Keep the pressure on them, but be safe while doing it.I hope the DA I reccommended, was able to help you.You are still my hero~Stand in light.

  3. I also want to add my sympathy as well as anger about your needless loss.

Stories like this have held my attention for the past few years. I am in Minnesota and have been having continuing problems, sort of like your daughter. I, like her, jumped into the “art community” and found out how jealous and angry some people are toward women who are happy and finding their way.

After I started noticing angry tailgaters and the following in stores, the middle aged men, different ones each time who use loud and tuneless whistling to let me know I am being followed.

After looking this up online I began to realize that this is happening all over, like you said.

I think, after reading about the “smiley face killers” and a book by Jan Jensen, Chris Jensen’s mother and how they were ignored and played and had their intelligence insulted by The Powers That Be in Minneapolis, that there is something much larger going on here.

I truly believe there is a silent holocaust going on, and good people are being tortured and killed or pushed to suicide by people who are posing as our protectors.

When we moved into this area, an interesting comment was made at the closing table by the sellers agent about how out of control the community watch was here. When we moved in a woman in the association mentioned who was in charge of “everything.” When that didn’t register, she just let it drop.

Do you have Community Policing in your neighborhood? That might explain how gossip and lies can be used to gin up hatred and why the “authorities” wouldn’t be interested in finding out the truth. Because they already know what happened and so there is no need.

Sorry if this sounds sterile or rambling. It is all I can do to deal with the public harrassment each and every day.

If you want to know what I mean by the whistling in stores just google “Minnesota Gangstalking Whistling Perp and Stores.”

May God give you peace and comfort.

The truth will set the innocent free, that is why they are fighting it so much.

    • So many things I have not been aware of and I feel like I should have been…I have heard others mention the “smiley face killers” and had no idea what that was all about, but I just did what you said and googled it and was shocked! I feel for those families because it seems like the forensic pathologists and law enforcement has done the same thing to them and even with so many experts and people trying to get the cases open there is an immense amount of resistance. I have to ask the question again – why? Why wouldn’t law enforcement want to investigate if it is a suspected murder? Am I being naive or am I missing something here? There was no Community Policing in our area, and it was only the one family gossiping and trying to misdirect everyone, but it sure seemed like the Sheriff’s office really didn’t want to follow up or investigate things that would have, in my opinion saved our daughter.

Thanks so much for your kind words and I know the truth will come out eventually because we will not stop fighting to get Morgan’s case open no matter how high up we have to go and we feel like everyones prayer and encouragement keeps us going. Take care.

  4. I have followed the Smiley murders for years, and also have been following Morgans stalking. They are both stories of young people who should still be living life fully! I think in the cases of the drowned young men, there is a certain amount of stalking going on also. Plus these are all smart young people with goals and plans attending classes, invloved in life! I feel there is an undercurrent of jealousy towards these beautiful youthful boys and girls, and just like Morgan , the authorities cover it up.
Now the real question is why? Is it because they are over worked? Or is it because they are protecting someone for reasons of their own? We all know even our government deals with unsavory people that they use as informants. Is it so hard to believe certain people are protected? In some cases the “police” themselves might be involved. In any case, young men do not throw themselves into water in freezing weather and drown and Morgan did not climb in bed and overdose or just not wake up on our own. There is an evil amongst us that must be looked at with open eyes! Not everyone that is in “charge” is the good guys!
Prayers for you and yours, may Jesus help you find your answers!

  5. Toni,
I have said it before and I will say it again- If you have knowledge of a crime and don’t report it you are just as liable and may be prosecuted as an accessory after the fact! If I had such knowledge, in this case, I would be contacting someone trying to make a “deal” to help avoid prosecution. But maybe they aren’t smart enough to see the forest for the trees and won’t mind a little prison time when the truth comes out…no day care in prison :-)….something for B to think about.
    janine

  6. I have not posted in awhile. Unless you have been stalked, the general public cannot comprehend, what it is like. My own family has participated in the insanity and gross injustice of the stalker in my life. When you have money, you have power. When you have friends, you have power.

People lie. It is so easy to lie. It sounds like the puzzle in Morgans situation, is slowly being put together. Sometimes justice takes time, others it never happens. But I believe it will happen, for Morgan. Her parents loved her and want the truth to unfold.

Being stalked and harassed is crazy living, a nightmare and utter insanity. You are right about people knowing about a crime and being silent. What a grave injustice to humanity. No wonder our world is such a mess. But I have realized, many people are evil and love to terrorize and destroy others. It is a game, to them.

    • So sorry Lynn – we will keep pushing for everyone and never give up. I so very much appreciate you speaking out and letting people know what it is like. Take care!
