Daddy’s sweaters…

I was just staring at the last picture I posted of Morgan – she is wearing one of her dad’s sweaters.  She loved wearing his sweaters, I guess they were really thick, and warm and on some of these cold Colorado days they were the perfect, comfortable choice.

I started to cry, because I remember how she said to her dad, right around this time, “I guess I am going have to hit you up for some of your sweaters when I go away to college.”

How I wish she was away at college right now, just like we had all planned.

Yes, you can lose somebody overnight, yes, your whole life can be turned upside down. Life is short. It can come and go like a feather in the wind.

    • Thank you so much for saying that…I just received a call today about another woman in Colorado that was able to (in conjunction with her wonderful police department – I know where she is from and the police there are really wonderful, they even have the phone number to each individual car printed on the car in case you need to call that officer when he drives by) get her stalker arrested after getting a picture of him on camera. Having photographic proof is really wonderful. I feel so good when I hear these stories and I pray that more people are empowered, and laws change to give victims more protection.

  1. Hi Toni,

Can you please tell me, what was Morgan wearing when you found her? Were they the same clothes as she wore the day before and when you last saw her? Or something different?

    • She was not wearing the same clothes that she came home in. She was wearing skinny green jeans, socks, bra, T-shirt, and her hair was put up like she aways did when she went to bed, it was loose and down when she came home.

  2. That is very sobering. As I sit here, nursing my baby with my two year old playing by feet, I know I could lose them. I try to remember that everyday, that life is so delicate.
